Sports is perhaps man’s oldest activity even though its earliest inception may not have been inspired to be the organized endeavor it is today.  Dictionary.com defines Sports as “an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.”.  Sports as an organized activity developed as man sought ways to live and survive in an ever dynamic world. It is difficult ascertaining the first known sports ever on the face of the earth. However, the discovery of artifacts as well as arcane forms of literature and documentation gives insight on how old Sports are.
